82.Investigations or records. The State Fire Marshal may investigate the actions or statements of any candidate or applicant or any person, firm, association, or corporation holding or claiming to hold a license under this Act. Before revoking, suspending, reprimanding, or taking any other disciplinary action permitted under this Act, the State Fire Marshal may issue a citation, refer the matter for prosecution, or institute formal charges as provided for in this Act. All licensees under this Act shall maintain records of any service performed under this Act for a period of not less than 3 years. These records shall include, at minimum, the name and license number, if available, of any individual who performs service of fire equip
