(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2028) Sec.
135.Criminal violations. Whoever knowingly practices or offers to practice acupuncture in this State without being licensed for that purpose shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and for each subsequent conviction shall be guilty of a Class 4 felony. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, all criminal fines, moneys, or other property collected or received by the Department under this Section or any other State or federal statute, including but not limited to property forfeited to the Department under Section 505 of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act or Section 85 of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act, shall be deposited into the Professional Regulation Evidence Fund.
