(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2027) Sec.

116.Amendments to articles of incorporation. Whenever the articles of incorporation or articles of association of a foreign or alien company authorized to transact business in this State shall be amended, such company shall, within thirty days after the effective date of such amendment, file with the Director a copy thereof duly authenticated by the proper officer of the state or country under the laws of which such company is organized. The filing of such copy shall not of itself enlarge the authority of the company in the transaction of business in this State, nor authorize such company to transact business in this State under any other name than the name set forth in its certificate of authority.
