(a)The Authority is hereby designated the State Housing Credit Agency and is charged with responsibility for administering low-income housing tax credits allocated to the State under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. In fulfilling its responsibilities as the State Housing Credit Agency, the Authority is authorized to do all acts authorized or required under Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and to:
(1)Establish a plan for allocation of low-income housing tax credits; prepare application forms for allocation of such tax credits; and make allocation of such tax credits to eligible individuals and corporations.
(2)Initiate marketing, education and out-reach projects throughout the State to maximize utilization of all available low-incom
