(was 20 ILCS 2605/55a in part) Sec. 2605-355. Delinquent minors; statewide central juvenile records system. To develop a separate statewide central juvenile records system for persons arrested prior to the age of 17 under Section 5-401 of the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 or adjudicated delinquent minors and to make information available to local law enforcement officers so that law enforcement officers will be able to obtain rapid access to the background of the minor from other jurisdictions to the end that the juvenile police officers can make appropriate decisions that will best serve the interest of the child and the community.
