§ 2605-220

(was 20 ILCS 2605/55a-7) Sec. 2605-220. Public aid fraud investigations. The Illinois State Police, through the Division of Criminal Investigation, shall investigate recipients and providers under the Illinois Public Aid Code and any personnel involved in the administration of the Code who are suspected of any violations of the Code pertaining to fraud in the administration, receipt, or provision of assistance and pertaining to any violation of criminal law. The Illinois State Police shall, in addition to functions otherwise authorized by State and federal law, exercise the following functions:

(1)Initiate investigations of suspected cases of public aid fraud.
(2)Investigate cases of public aid fraud.
