(a) By July 1, 2023, the State Board of Education, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, as needed, shall develop and maintain a resource guide that shall be made available on the State Board's Internet website. The resource guide shall provide guidance for pupils, parents or guardians, and teachers about sexual abuse response and prevention resources available in their community. The resource guide shall, at a minimum, provide all of the following information: (1) Contact information, the location, and a list of the services provided by or available through accredited children's advocacy centers. (2) Contact information and a list of the services offered by organizations that provide medical evaluations and treatment to victims of child sexual abuse. (3) Contact information and a list of the services offered by organizations that provide mental health evaluations and services to victims and the families of victims of child sexual abuse. (4) Contact information of organizations that offer legal assistance to and provide advocacy on behalf of victims of child sexual abuse. (b) At the beginning of the school year, each school district, charter school, or nonpublic school shall notify the parents or guardians of enrolled students of the availability of the resource guide. Each school district, charter school, or nonpublic school shall furnish the resource guide to a student's parent or guardian at the request of the parent or guardian and may also make the resource guide available on its Internet website. (c) The State Board of Education shall periodically review the information contained in the resource guide and update the information as necessary.
