Text
The purpose of this legislation is to establish a state lottery to generate revenue for the state with a director and a state lottery commission to oversee lottery operations. This chapter establishes a state lottery account for the deposit of receipts, for payment of prizes and expenses, and provides that revenues generated in the lottery account, after allowances for prizes and expenses, shall be distributed for the public benefit. This chapter provides for contracting with lottery retailers and authorizes the promulgation of administrative rules and regulations necessary for carrying out the intent of this chapter.
