There is hereby created the position of risk manager in the department of administration. The risk manager shall be selected and retained subject to the provision of chapter 53, title 67, Idaho Code. The risk manager may, with the agreement of the director, employ and fix the compensation of such additional personnel, and contract for such professional or technical services or assistance, as the manager may deem necessary or desirable for the performance of the duties of the position.
