Within ten (10) days after the date of levying the assessment as provided in section 43-701, the secretary of the board must give notice of the time the board of directors will meet to correct assessments, by publication in a newspaper published in each of the counties comprising the district, which notice shall be published weekly for a period of two (2) weeks. The time fixed for the meeting shall not be less than two (2) weeks, nor more than five (5) weeks from the first publication of the notice. In the meantime the assessment books must remain in the office of the secretary for the inspection of all persons interested.
