Text

The board of directors of an irrigation district organized under the laws of the state of Idaho may, when authorized by the qualified electors of the district, who are residents of the district and holders of title, or evidence of title, to the land in the district, at an election held for that purpose, after notice, as provided in section 43-1830, acquire, hold and own on behalf of the irrigation district storage rights, capacity, water and water rights in reservoirs constructed by the United States government in cooperation with the district to be disposed of as hereinafter provided.
