§ 42-3702 — LEGISLATIVE DETERMINATIONS AND DECLARATION OF POLICY

Idaho·Title 42 IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE — WATER RIGHTS AND RECLAMATION·Ch. 37 WATERSHED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS
It is hereby recognized that the protection of life and property from floods, the prevention of damage to lands therefrom, and the orderly development, wise use, conservation and protection of the water resources of the state by the considered and proper use thereof, is of paramount importance to the welfare and prosperity of the people of the state. To realize these objectives it is hereby declared to be the policy of the state to provide for the prevention of flood damage and the conservation development, utilization and disposal of water in the watersheds of this state and thereby to protect and promote the health, safety and general welfare of the people of this state.
