Text

The portion of U.S. highway 26 located in Idaho beginning at the Oregon border and ending at the Wyoming border shall be known as the "POW/MIA Memorial Highway." The Idaho transportation department may place and maintain suitable signs at each end of the portion of U.S. highway 26 located in Idaho and may place markers at intermediate sites along the highway to clearly identify it as the "POW/MIA Memorial Highway." Provided, the department shall not place such signs or markers where other current special designations exist. The department will determine the location of any signs in the road right-of-way based on safety considerations. The department may work with the POW/MIA organization for the design of any signs and may accept moneys from various groups to create, install, and maintain
