Text

(1)Candidates for election as a highway district commissioner shall be nominated by nominating petitions, each of which shall bear the name of the nominee, the subdistrict for which the nomination is made, the term for which nomination is made, bear the signature of no less than five (5) electors of the candidate’s specific subdistrict, and be filed with the election official of the highway district. The form of the nominating petition shall be as provided by the county clerk. The nomination shall be filed during the time period provided in section 34-1404, Idaho Code. The clerk of the political subdivision shall notify the county clerk within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of the filing and verify the qualifications of the nominee and, no more than seven (7) days following the filing,
