Text

(1)If the state board of education shall find any school district:
(a)Has not operated its school for a period of one (1) school year;
(b)In which the average daily attendance during each term of not less than seven (7) months in the two (2) school years last past has been less than five (5) pupils; or
(c)For a period of not less than one (1) year last past has had an insufficient number of members on its board of trustees lawfully to conduct the business of the district; the state board may enter its order declaring any such district to be lapsed, and which district shall lapse as of the first day of July next following the date of said order.
(2)Upon entering its order declaring a school district lapsed pursuant to subsection (1) of this section, the state board shall designate some
