(1)Except for an administrative only district, the board of trustees of each library district shall appoint a library director or director team who shall administer the library district. The director or one (1) member of the director team assigned by the board shall serve as the secretary for the board without voting rights. The library director or director team shall advise the board, implement policy set by the board, and shall acquire library materials, equipment and supplies. The director or director team shall attend all executive sessions of the board of trustees, except those called to consider the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining, or to hear complaints or charges against the library director or director team member.
