Gooding county is described as follows: beginning at the northeast corner of section six (6), township three (3) south, range sixteen (16) east; Eastern boundary. Thence south twenty-four (24) miles, more or less, along the section line to the southeast corner of section thirty-one (31), township six (6) south, range sixteen (16) east; thence west one (1) mile, more or less, to the northwest corner of section five (5), township seven (7) south, range sixteen (16) east; thence south along the section line, to the thread of the Snake river; Southern boundary. Thence northwesterly along the thread of the Snake river to the west line of township six (6) south, range twelve (12) east; Western boundary.
