A member may be expelled in accordance with the bylaws and any policies established by the board. The credit union shall notify a member of the expulsion, the reasons for the expulsion, and the process by which the member may challenge the expulsion and seek reinstatement. The credit union shall, upon the request of the expelled member in accordance with this section, allow the member to challenge the expulsion and seek reinstatement as a member. A member who withdraws from membership or whose membership is otherwise terminated pursuant to the bylaws or who is expelled is not relieved of any liability to the credit union.
