Text
A child admitted on the consent of his parents, shall have his admission reviewed at the end of a thirty (30) day period from the initial date of admission to the program. The review shall be accomplished by having the child’s treating clinician review the child’s treatment and determine whether continued out-of-home treatment at the facility is still necessary and consistent with the least restrictive alternative principle. If the clinician decides that it is, he or she shall record the findings on a form to be filed in the child’s record. The facility shall notify the child and his parents at least seven (7) days prior to the thirty (30) day review and give them an opportunity to comment on the need, if any, for continued inpatient or residential treatment.
