Text

Every person eligible for retirement compensation who has served as justice of the Supreme Court or judge of the district court who has retired or resigned before the effective date July 1, 1967 of this act shall be entitled to receive and to have paid to him from the judges’ retirement fund, retirement compensation based upon the current annual compensation of the office from which he retired or resigned, less a sum equal to 10% of any increase in retirement compensation to which he may become entitled after the effective date of this act. This act shall operate prospectively, and shall not give to any retired justice or judge a claim against the judges’ retirement fund for any increase in retirement compensation for time elapsed prior to the effective date hereof.
