Text
The department and the director shall cooperate with any department or agency of the
state government in any manner, including the exchange of employees, calculated to improve
administration of the affairs of the institutions. Joint use of facilities by the department and
another public agency as defined in section 28E.2 shall be only according to an agreement
entered into under chapter 28E. All joint campuses shall have one superintendent and one
business manager who shall be employed by the department with supervisory responsibility
for the majority of the facility’s population. Employment of the superintendent and business
manager shall be done in consultation with the department which has responsibility for
services for the other population at the facility.
