Thereupon the chief justice of the supreme court shall notify the attorney general of such
accusation and cause a copy thereof to be delivered to the attorney general, and it shall
thereuponbecomethedutyoftheattorneygeneraltosuperintendeitherthroughtheattorney
general’s office, or through a special assistant to be designated by the attorney general, the
prosecution of such charges.
