1. A partnership may correct a document filed by the secretary of state if the document satisfies one or both of the following: a. The document contains an incorrect statement. b. The document was defectively executed, attested, sealed, verified, or acknowledged. 2. A document is corrected by complying with both of the following: a. By preparing a statement of correction that satisfies all of the following:

(1)The statement describes the document, including its filing date, or a copy of the document is attached to the statement.
(2)The statement specifies the incorrect statement and the reason it is incorrect or the manner in which the execution was defective.
