Text

1.Whenever the director finds that an emergency exists requiring immediate action to protect the public health and safety, the director may, without notice or hearing, issue an emergency order reciting that an emergency exists and requiring that such action be taken as the director deems necessary to meet the emergency. The order may be issued orally to the person whose operation constitutes the emergency by the director and confirmed by a copy of such order to be sent by certified mail within twenty-four hours after the issuance of the oral order. The emergency order shall be effective immediately. Any person receiving an emergency order may request a hearing before the commission within thirty days following the receipt of the order.
