Text
1.A sheriff receiving funds from a condemnation proceeding shall list the funds in detail
in a book kept for that purpose. The sheriff shall pay the funds to the persons entitled to them
upon final adjudication of a condemnation case. If the funds are held after final adjudication
of the case until the end of the fiscal year, the funds shall be paid to the treasurer as provided
in subsection 2.
2.Not later than July 1 of each year, the sheriff shall make a detailed report under oath of
allfundsreceivedandinthesheriff’spossessionfromcondemnationproceedingswhichhave
been finally adjudicated. The report shall include the names of the parties to whom the funds
belong, when the funds were received, and a description of the property condemned. The
