Text
1.The commission shall provide, by rules adopted pursuant to section 321G.2, for the
establishment of certified courses of instruction to be conducted throughout the state for
the safe use and operation of snowmobiles. The curriculum shall include instruction in the
lawful and safe use, operation, and equipping of snowmobiles consistent with this chapter
and rules adopted by the commission and the director of transportation and other matters
the commission deems pertinent for a qualified snowmobile operator. The commission may
establish a fee for the course which shall not exceed the actual cost of instruction minus
moneys received by the department from education certificate fees under section 321G.24.
2.The commission may certify any experienced, qualified operator to be an instructor
