Text
1.Institutions under the control of the state board of regents shall purchase only new
automobiles which have at least the fuel economy required for purchase of new automobiles
by the director of the department of administrative services under section 8A.362, subsection
4.This subsection does not apply to automobiles purchased for law enforcement purposes.
2.An institution shall provide for the purchase of qualified renewable fuels to power
internal combustion engines that are used to operate motor vehicles and for the purchase of
motor vehicles operating using engines powered by qualified renewable fuels in the same
manner required for the director of the department of administrative services pursuant to
section 8A.368. An institution shall compile information regarding compliance with
