Text
1.If an order for coverage under a health benefit plan has been forwarded pursuant to
section 252E.5, the obligor’s employer or insurer shall release to the obligee or other legal
custodian of the child or the department, upon receiving a written request, the information
necessary to complete an application, to file a claim for medical expenses of the dependent
or to create a qualified medical child support order pursuant to section 252E.2, subsection 2.
2.The employer or insurer shall make available to the obligee or the department any
necessary claim forms or enrollment membership cards if required to obtain services.
3.The obligor’s employer and insurer shall have immunity from any liability, civil or
criminal, which might otherwise be incurred or imposed for any information released
