Text
The department, in consultation with the department of education, shall continue the
program to utilize the early and periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment program
funding under the medical assistance program, to the extent possible, to implement the
screening component of the early and periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment program
through the schools. The department may enter into contracts to utilize maternal and child
health centers, the public health nursing program, or school nurses in implementing this
section.
