Text
1.In addition to any other order of the juvenile court, a child who may be in need of
treatment, as determined under section 232.8, may be ordered to participate in a physical
assessment or behavioral health evaluation approved by the juvenile court. The court
may order the child to participate in a treatment program approved by the court if the
treatment program is recommended after the child’s physical assessment or behavioral
health evaluation. The juvenile court may also require the custodial parent or parents, or
guardian, to participate in an educational program with the child if the court determines that
such participation is in the best interests of the child.
2.If the duration of a dispositional order is extended pursuant to section 232.53,
subsection 3, the court may continue
