For the purposes of this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1.“Council” means the council on health and human services.
2.“Department” means the department of health and human services.
3.“Director” means the director of health and human services.
4.“Institution” means an institution listed in section 218.1.
5.“Resident” means a person committed or admitted to an institution and is synonymous
with patient, as appropriate to the institution.
6.“Superintendent” means the person to whom primary responsibility for a particular
institution has been assigned.
