Financial incentive programs are established within the division in order to protect the
long-term productivity of the soil and water resources of the state from erosion and sediment
damage,andtoencouragetheadoptionoffarmmanagementandagriculturalpracticeswhich
are consistent with the capability of the land to sustain agriculture and preserve this state’s
natural resources.
