Text
The department shall prescribe sanitary rules for establishments and schools of barbering
and cosmetology arts and sciences which shall include the sanitary conditions necessary
for the practice of barbering and cosmetology arts and sciences and for the prevention of
infectious and contagious diseases. Subject to local zoning ordinances, an establishment
may be established in a residence if a room other than the living quarters is equipped for
that purpose. The department shall enforce this section and make necessary inspections for
enforcement purposes.
