The department shall adopt rules, pursuant to chapter 17A, to implement the Iowa trauma care system plan, which specify all of the following:

1.Standards for trauma care.

2.Triage and transfer protocols.

3.Trauma registry procedures and policies.

4.Trauma care education and training requirements.

5.Hospital and emergency care facility categorization criteria.

6.Proceduresforapproval,denial,probation,andrevocationofcertificatesofverification.
