Text
If a court directs a respondent who was previously ordered taken into immediate custody
under section 125.81 to be placed at a facility for evaluation and appropriate treatment under
section125.83, andnosuitablefacilitycanimmediatelyadmittherespondent, therespondent
shall remain in custody as previously ordered by the court, notwithstanding the time limits
stated in section 125.81, until a suitable facility can admit the respondent. The court shall
take appropriate steps to expedite the admission of the respondent to a suitable facility at the
earliest feasible time.
