Text

(a)Except as provided in subsection (b) of this Code section, whoever willfully violates any provision of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
(b)Whoever willfully violates any provision of this article where the violation is:
(1)Committed in furtherance of the commission of any other violation of Georgia law; or (2) Committed as part of a pattern of illegal activity involving transactions exceeding $100,000.00 in any 12 month period shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500,000.00 or by imprisonment for not more than five years, or both.
(c)Whoever, knowing that the moneys involved in a currency transaction represent the proceeds of some form of unlawful activity, conducts or attempts to conduct such a transac
