Text
(a)The indemnification shall be paid by the commission when a public school teacher or public school employee who in the line of duty:
(1)Is killed or receives bodily injury which results in death within 12 months thereafter, if such death occurs from an act of violence and if such death is not the result of suicide and if such bodily injury is not intentionally self-inflicted; or (2) Is permanently disabled, if the permanent disability occurs from an act of violence and if the permanent disability is not intentionally self-inflicted.
(b)For any compensable claim filed under this article, payment shall be made as follows:
