Text

Except as provided in Code Section 45-7-21 , each state official designated in Code Section 45-7-4 shall be reimbursed from state funds for actual transportation costs while traveling by public carrier, the legal mileage rate for use of a personal automobile, and the actual cost of lodging and meals while away from his office on official state business. This Code section shall not apply to the adjutant general, superior court judges, district attorneys, members of the General Assembly, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and the Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives, all of whose expenses and allowances shall be paid as provided for in Code Section 45-7-4 .
