Text
(a)There is created the Office of Student Achievement.
(b)The chief administrative and executive officer of the office shall be the director, who shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Subject to the general policy established by the Alliance of Education Agency Heads, the director shall be responsible for the performance and exercise of the duties, responsibilities, functions, powers, and authority imposed upon the director and the office as provided by law. The director shall receive a salary to be determined by the Governor.
(c)The director shall have the authority to employ all personnel of the office, subject to the provisions of this part and all applicable provisions of other laws governing public employment.
(d)The office may adopt a seal
