(a)The Governor, as chairperson of the alliance, may appoint such study commissions as he or she shall deem appropriate to the purposes of this chapter to study education questions, issue findings, and make recommendations to the alliance. Such study commissions shall be composed of such number of residents of Georgia, with recognized interest or expertise in the field of education, as the Governor deems advisable and shall include the appointment of members of the House of Representatives, in consultation with the Speaker of the House, and members of the Senate, in consultation with the President of the Senate. The findings and recommendations of such commissions shall also be reported to the Governor, all members of the General Assembly, and the public.
