(a)It shall be illegal for any corporation incorporated under the laws of, or doing business in, this state or any officer or agent thereof to make or authorize directly or indirectly any contributions from corporate funds for the purpose of influencing the vote, judgment, or action of any officer of this state, whether he is employed in the legislative, executive, or judicial branch.
(b)Any person or corporation or any officer thereof who shall violate subsection (a) of this Code section relating to corporate contributions to influence official action shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine in the sum of ten times the amount of the contribution made or $1,000.00, whichever is greater, or by imprisonment for not less than one year nor more th
