(1)By July 1, 2023, the commission shall incorporate into the course curriculum required for initial certification of a law enforcement officer instruction on health and wellness principles specific to the law enforcement profession. The commission shall consult with the Florida State University Institute for Justice Research and Development and the Resiliency Behind the Badge training program to develop the basic skills training component relating to officer health and wellness principles.
