Text

No insurer providing motor vehicle liability coverage shall refuse to renew any policy providing coverage for a personal motor vehicle of any person based solely on such person’s experience while operating a vehicle as a part of her or his employment for any local transit system or as a part of her or his employment as a bus operator for any nonpublic sector bus company or as a law enforcement officer or firefighter; and no points assessed against such person under s. 322.27 in connection with such experience shall be considered as a factor in the setting of such person’s personal motor vehicle liability insurance rates. The burden of demonstrating that such points were assessed in connection with such experience shall lie with the insured.
