Upon the request of the policyholder, a group, blanket, or franchise health insurance policy issued or delivered in this state that provides coverage to an employer for the benefit of its employees shall include in the definition of “full-time employee” an employee who has a normal workweek of 25 or more hours. This section does not prohibit an insurer from excluding coverage for a temporary or substitute employee.
