Text

Every insurer delivering or issuing for delivery a group life insurance policy under the provisions of this part shall notify each certificateholder when the master policy has expired or when the master policy has been canceled. The insurer may take such action through the policyholder; and, if the insurer elects to take such action through the policyholder, the insurer shall be deemed to have complied with the provisions of this section upon notifying the policyholder of the requirements of this section and requesting the policyholder to forward to the certificateholders the notice required in this section. Upon receipt of such a request, the policyholder shall forward, as soon as practicable, the notice of expiration or cancellation to each certificateholder covered under the policy.
