Subject to all of the requirements of this section, the lives of a group of individual labor union members or labor union members and their dependents may be insured, for the benefit of persons other than the union or any of its officials, representatives, or agents, under a policy issued to the labor union or to the trustees of a fund established in this state by the labor union, which labor union or board of trustees is deemed to be the policyholder.

(1)The individuals eligible for insurance under the policy shall be all of the members of the union, or all of the members of any class or classes of union members determined by conditions pertaining to their employment or to membership in the union, or to both.
