(1)Any association incorporated under or adopting the provisions of this chapter may be dissolved and its affairs wound up voluntarily by a petition signed by two-thirds of the members or by the holders of two-thirds of the common stock, either in person or by their agent, which petition shall be presented to the circuit judge, who shall direct notice thereof to be published for such time as he or she may judge expedient. After the expiration of the time of such notice, the circuit judge may decree a dissolution and make all necessary orders and decrees for the winding up of its affairs, including the application of its assets toward the satisfaction of the claims of creditors so far as may be and the distribution of any moneys then remaining among its members in proportion to their respe
