Text

Whenever payment is made in cash on account of any home improvement contract, the person receiving such payment shall, at the time of receiving such payment, furnish to the person making such payment a written receipt showing the date, identification of the account, and the amount paid. Unless notice has been given to the owner of an assignment of a home improvement contract, payment thereunder or tender thereof by the owner to the last known holder of such contract shall be binding upon any holder or assignee thereof.
