Text

(1)Every licensed facility shall comply with all applicable standards and rules of the agency and shall:
(a)Be under the administrative direction and charge of a licensed administrator.
(b)Appoint a medical director licensed pursuant to chapter 458 or chapter 459. By January 1, 2026, the medical director of each nursing home facility must obtain designation as a certified medical director by the American Medical Directors Association, hold a similar credential bestowed by an organization recognized by the agency, or be in the process of seeking such designation or credentialing, according to parameters adopted by agency rule.
