Text

Upon receipt of an application and proof that the applicant meets the qualifications listed in this section for the applicable license plate, the department shall issue the license plate without payment of the license tax imposed under s. 320.08:

(1)SILVER STAR. — Any United States citizen who is a resident of Florida and who was awarded the Silver Star while serving as a member of the United States Armed Forces shall be issued a license plate on which is stamped the words “Silver Star” followed by the serial number.
(2)DISTINGUISHED SERVICE CROSS. — Any United States citizen who is a resident of Florida and who was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross while serving as a member of the United States Armed Forces shall be issued a license plate on which is stamped the words “Distingui
